Our first movie

Contributing with some original soundtracks to the movie Duino, by Juan Pablo di Pace, was an extraordinary experience .

The movie, directed by the actor Juan Pablo di Pace (Mamma Mia, A.D. The Bible Continues, Fuller House) was shot mainly in Friuli Venezia Giulia – in Duino at UWC Adriatic and in Tapogliano at Villa Pace.

When Juan Pablo di Pace and his international staff (partly coming from Hollywood) involved us in this project, we immediately knew we would learn a lot and have so much fun.
Composing new music with very little notice, submitting it to the assessment of the director and the co-director, arranging it for various instruments, overseeing its performance – often live – made us lose some hours of sleep and made us gain unforgettable emotions and experiences! We had the honor to share this work with extremely talented actors and with an amazing staff. We learnt so much, just in a few weeks!
The movie, with the executive production of Terroir Films from Trieste, is a romantic drama inspired by true events that took place when Juan Pablo di Pace was a student at UWC Adriatic.
More than 30 students were involved in shooting in the school. They put all their enthusiasm and dedication, performing roles that in some cases included performing together with the movie’s main actors.

Duino had its world premiere at the Turin Lovers Film Festival—the oldest LGBT-themed festival in Europe—where it won the Young Lovers Jury, Matthew Shepard Award and the Audience Award. The film also received the Best International Feature Film Award at the Rio LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in Brazil and had a successful North American theatrical premiere at Frameline: San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival. Our tango Ya no volaré is the original song of the movie.
